In late 2011, several educational leaders met to "hangout" via Google Plus. Their wide-ranging discussion covered everything from best practices in Evernote, to effective leadership mindsets, to cultural change in our school communities.
Almost immediately, folks who had not been able to participate in the conversation as well as others who had just "overheard" (thank you, Twitter!) were asking, "When's the next hangout for educators?" The leaders who had participated were asking, "When will we talk next? And what should our topic be?)
So... future Elementary Principal @KathyPerret coined a hashtag (#gplused) and snagged this wikispace with an eye towards helping organize and get the word out about additional "hangout" opportunities.
